"The Edge of the City" is an original oil on board by David Marchant. This is an interesting painting with references to industrial and residential areas .
The focal point of the painting is influenced by Swansea Marina area where by gold leaf represents the lock gates that would enter or leave of the City.
With in this space it is questioned 'are we in or out of the city?. It's a space of waiting to become one or the other hence its name.
This work is vibrant colourful , very atmospheric and exciting to see in the flesh. The painting measures 610mm x 510mm . It is framed in a handmade painted tulip wood and measures 835mm x 720mm.
